Gov. William Sheffield to be awarded the Eugene R. Wilson Lifetime Achievement Award
(Anchorage, ALASKA) – The Association of Fundraising Professionals - Alaska Chapter is honored to present the Eugene R. Wilson Lifetime Achievement Award to Governor William Sheffield this Friday, November 16, during the chapter’s Alaska Philanthropy Day Luncheon.
This award is not given every year by the chapter, but presented at special times to honor extraordinary philanthropic leaders in our Alaska community. The award is named for Eugene R. Wilson, a leader himself for 15 years with the ARCO Foundation. Gene first visited Alaska in 1977 and found a new love for the non-profit sector in the state. Through his roles at the ARCO Foundation, Gene worked closely with many leaders in our community who remember him fondly. Eugene R. Wilson will be joining us at the luncheon to present the award to this year’s recipient, Gov. William Sheffield
Join us at the Dena’ina Center on Friday, November 16, to honor Governor Sheffield and the long-time leadership in volunteering and giving he has accomplished during his lifetime.
Alaska Philanthropy Day is part of National Philanthropy Day®, a special day set aside in the month of November to recognize the great contributions of philanthropy—and those people active in the philanthropic community—to the enrichment of our world.
