23nd Annual Empty Bowl Project is Saturday March 11

Tickets will be available at the door!


The Empty Bowl Project, an annual fundraising event for Bean’s Cafe and The Children’s Lunchbox is Saturday, March 11 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center.


Empty Bowl is the largest fundraising event of the year for Bean’s Cafe.  Attendees will be able to sample the two winning bean soup recipes for 2017 and receive their choice of a handcrafted bowl. 


Tickets will be available at the door for $35 each or $15 for soup and cornbread only


 This year’s event will include an art exhibit featuring portraits of Bean’s Cafe clients created by UAA students, a Kid’s Zone, live music and silent auction.


Bean’s Cafe, a part of the Anchorage community since February 1979, maintains a center where the hungry and homeless are provided with hot nutritious meals, a warm and safe shelter, as well as information and referral assistance to health and human service programs. Bean’s Cafe is open every day of the year, ensuring these services are always available to those who need it the most. For more information visit www.beanscafe.org.
