District to review materials for new engineering course
The Anchorage School District is in the process of reviewing materials for its new Engineering Design course for high school students. The hands-on, industry-aligned course will introduce students to engineering practice and design.
The review will allow the district to find instructional materials that best meet the learning needs of students.
The public is encouraged to take part in the review process and provide input during the following open house opportunities at the ASD Education Center, 5530 E. Northern Lights Blvd.
. Thursday, March 10 from 3-6 p.m.
. Wednesday, March 23 from 3-6 p.m.
. Saturday, March 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
. Tuesday, March 29 from 3-6 p.m.
ASD is forming a selection committee to review the materials. Applications are being accepted for the selection committee.
