Myron Fanning Named Security Manager for NMS Security

Anchorage, Alaska – Dec. 16, 2015 – Myron Fanning joined NANA Management Services (NMS) as Security Manager for NMS Security. The fifth-largest private employer in Alaska, NMS has provided security services for the oil and gas industry on the North Slope for 40 years.
In his role overseeing all remote site operations for NMS Security, Myron will ensure the high quality of services delivered to clients and promote growth of the division.
Myron retired in 2015 from the Anchorage Police Department (APD) as Deputy Chief of Police after 23 years of service. He oversaw all administrative functions and maintenance of operations readiness for the entire department. His previous supervisory positions with APD include Deputy Chief of Administration and Crime Suppression Division Captain.
Before his career in law enforcement, Myron served almost 10 years as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army.
Myron has completed many police and military training programs and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from University of North Alabama. APD twice awarded him the Medal of Valor and recognized him with the Leadership Award. Myron serves on the board of the Anchorage Youth Court.
