All 10 Federal Subsistence Regional Advisory Councils to meet for joint session in Anchorage
March 7-11, 2016 at the Egan Center
The Federal Subsistence Management Program has scheduled a joint meeting of all 10 Federal Subsistence Regional Advisory Councils for March 7-11, 2016 at the Egan Center in Anchorage. The meeting will include a joint session
of all Councils, individual regional meetings for each Council, and breakout sessions with training, panel discussions, and presentations. The sessions will commence daily at 8:30 a.m.
Breakout sessions are scheduled Tuesday afternoon through Friday and discuss topics such as Title VIII of the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act, Federal Resource Monitoring Program, cross-cultural communication, public involvement in the State and Federal regulatory process, Tribal consultation, Yukon and Kuskokwim salmon management, and the status of the Western Arctic and Teshekpuk caribou herds, among other topics.
The meeting is free and open to the public, with participation in person or by teleconference. Teleconference will not be available for all training sessions or presentations, but will be available for all Council sessions and salmon and caribou reports.
