Founded by Joe & Patty Ashlock, this family-owned business has thrived over the decades thanks to the support it has received from its patrons and wants to thank the Alaskans that have made it possible by celebrating this milestone with them.

On August 12th, from 12pm to 2pm at the Gap Kids Courtyard, the whole community is invited to Dimond Center's 40th Anniversary Celebration where they can enter to win grand prizes such as a $1,000 Alaska Air Gift Card, $1,500 in Dimond Center Gift Cards & an iPad courtesy of AT&T, as well as other prizes donated by tenants and four Miranda Lambert tickets courtesy of Sullivan Arena.

Complimentary cupcakes provided by Sam's Club & sodas courtesy of Pepsi will be available as well by the Gap Kids Courtyard.

Other fun activities include free face painting, photo booth, and carnival games. Participating stores will be offering one day back to school specials and live mannequins showcasing this year's new fashion trends will be decorating their windows.

One of Dimond Center's most loved spots is the Ice Chalet and in honor of the 40th it will be offering free skating all day (12pm to 9pm).

Dimond Center has been growing side by side with Anchorage for decades and wants to show their appreciation and esteem by giving back to the community by donating to Hospice of Anchorage, Volunteers of America of Alaska, American Cancer Society of Alaska, and Special Olympics Alaska. Each non-profit is receiving $5,000 from Dimond Center and they raised an additional $47,000 donated by local businesses, such as McKinley Capitol, and individuals.
