AFN: Celebrate Subsistence

AFN is calling on you to help us celebrate the beauty of subsistence! Share a photo of yourself, your friends and your family members fishing, berry picking, hunting, you name it, and share it with AFN.

Share your best photos and you may just be the lucky winner of a roundtrip ticket to any US destination on Alaska Airlines!

Submit photos at nativefederation.org/celebratesubsistence
We’ll post your photos and a caption from you to AFN’s social media accounts and share them as part of our special subsistence programming during this year’s AFN Convention in October.

Prizes will be given to photos with the most likes, so make sure to share with your friends when your picture is posted.

Winners will be announced during the 2014 Annual AFN Convention
Contest ends October 10, 2014

The Alaska Federation of Natives was formed in October 1966, when more than 400 Alaska Natives representing 17 Native organizations gathered for a three-day conference to address Alaska Native aboriginal land rights. It is now the largest statewide Native organization in Alaska. Its membership includes 151 federally-recognized tribes, 134 village corporations, 12 regional corporations, and 12 regional nonprofit and tribal consortium's that contract and compact to run federal and state programs. AFN is governed by a 37-member Board, which is elected by its membership at the annual convention held each October. The mission of AFN is to enhance and promote the cultural, economic and political voice of the entire Alaska Native community. Learn more at www.nativefederation.org.
