FREE Legal Clinics for Alaskans with Landlord/Tenant Issues
Anchorage, AK: Alaska Legal Services Corporation (ALSC) is offering free Landlord/Tenant Legal Clinics on the first Thursday of every month from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Fairview Rec Center - 1121 E. 10th Avenue. There is no fee or pre-registration required, and anyone having a problem with their rental property and/or landlord may attend. The next Landlord/Tenant legal clinic is September 5th.
A local volunteer attorney will facilitate these clinics and will also answer general questions from attendees about their particular situations. Both tenants and landlords are welcome to attend.
ALSC has provided high quality free legal assistance in civil matters to low-income Alaskans since 1967. ALSC staffs 11 offices statewide, serving the entire state of Alaska. Typically, ALSC serves approximately 6,300 Alaskans every year, addressing critical legal issues affecting their families, homes, incomes, jobs, civil rights, and access to vital services such as health care and utilities. More than 80% of cases completed are resolved without going to court or an administrative hearing.
