Alaska Regional CEO Announces Retirement Plans

Anchorage, AK (September 12, 2013) ­ Annie Holt, Alaska Regional Hospital's Chief Executive Officer since 2009, has announced that she will retire. She will remain at Alaska Regional until a successor is named, and she will assist in the transition.

Holt has been with HCA Healthcare, the parent company of Alaska Regional, for 37 years. Her long and successful career in healthcare started as a registered nurse and progressed into administration. She has served in executive leadership roles in five hospitals and two regional offices. Her many contributions to organizations and communities have spanned five states in which she has worked: California, Utah, Indiana, Texas and Alaska.

I have had a great career experience, especially the last four years at Alaska Regional Hospital. I look forward to spending more time with my husband, Don Gomes, as we continue to enjoy Alaska,² Holt said.

Holt is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served as Chairman of the Board of the Alaska State Hospital and Nursing Home Association.
