AIGA Alaska presents Graphic Designer Cinthia Wen on “Fear”
From the first day of her internship to working in studios and large agencies, to starting a studio with a business partner, then reinventing the business on her own, to teaching graphic design…Cinthia recounts the trials and tribulations, failures, successes and rewards of heading into the design profession without fear.
In 2001, Cinthia founded NOON, a San Francisco design agency that focuses on visual communication through narratives, experiences and graphics. Her work is consistently recognized by design titles including Graphis, Communication Arts, Print, How Magazine, and Step. Projects under her leadership include branding, strategy and visual design for clients such as San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Nicole Miller, Seibu/Japan, Williams-Sonoma, Inc., Nokia, and Oracle.
Additionally, she has served as Chair of Graphic Design at California College of the Arts and is working with her NOON team to create GOODS, a sub-brand that creates and makes earth-friendly products.
