Treasury Hosts Mymoneyappup Challenge Awards Event
WASHINGTON – At 9:00 AM EDT on Friday, September 28, 2012, a panel of expert judges will review presentations by the finalists in the MyMoneyAppUp App Design Challenge and vote to award prizes totaling $25,000. The MyMoneyAppUp Challenge, launched by Treasury in partnership with D2D and CFSI, is a contest offering cash prizes for the best mobile app ideas and designs to help Americans make smart financial choices, access high quality financial products and services, and control and shape their financial futures. The event will bring the eight finalists, Treasury officials, and Challenge partners together with other stakeholders to hear the motivations behind each design and see the resulting winners.

All interested media, including press with camera equipment planning to cover the event, must RSVP by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 27, to Stephanie Ma at Stephanie.Ma@treasury.gov. Media without Treasury press credentials must include the following information for access into the building: full legal name, date of birth, Social Security number, and country of citizenship.
Press with camera equipment should arrive at the Alexander Hamilton entrance (15th Street and Alexander Hamilton Avenue) and proceed to the Moat entrance no later than 7:30 a.m. to allow time for equipment sweeps. Cameras must be in place in the Cash Room no later than 8:30 a.m. No vehicles will be permitted onto Treasury grounds; equipment must be carried in. All other press must arrive at the north entrance (Pennsylvania Avenue) by 8:30 a.m.
