Treadwell to Champion Alaska as Arctic Proving Ground for UAS

September 25, 2012, Anchorage, AK – In remarks to the UAS Interest Group Conference tomorrow, Lieutenant Governor Mead Treadwell will promote Alaska as a proving ground for unmanned aerial systems (UAS), which have the capability to provide data for a range of missions including Arctic science monitoring, natural resource management and emergency management operations.
