Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport Hosts Annual Health Fair
(ANCHORAGE, Alaska) – Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC) is hosting a health fair in conjunction with Alaska Health Fair, Inc and Providence Imaging Center.
The Health Fair will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2012 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. in the Baggage Claim Atrium and parking garage connector areas. Alaska Health Fair, Inc. will be organizing over 20 health-related educational exhibits and health screenings, as well as providing low-cost blood testing at the fair. More information can be found at www.alaskahealthfair.org. In addition, flu shots will be available for $30, which is reimbursable by many insurance companies.
This year, the Providence Imaging Center will be offering Mobile Digital Mammography screening from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. People seeking mammography screening must pre-register by September 26, 2012. The Mobile Mammography unit will be parked on the north end of the departures ramp (upper ramp), near the Alaska Airlines South Terminal entry doors.

The Airport has hosted the health fair annually for many years,” said John Parrott, Airport Manager. “Working in conjunction with the Airport Operations Council (AOC), HMS Host, the Alaska Health Fair, Inc., and Providence Imaging Center, we are able to promote good health in our community, among our employees, and for visitors who happen to stop through.”
