REAP Announces 2012-2013 Clean Energy Lecture Series Series-- Sep 12, 2012

What: Renewable Energy Alaska Project (REAP) announces the start of its 2012-2013 Clean Energy Lecture Series. These free events will feature clean energy experts from across the state to give updates on renewable energy projects, discuss clean energy policy, and provide how-to information on energy efficiency retrofits for homes and businesses. All lectures are streamed live online.

September’s forum, “Saving Energy and Money in Residential Buildings”, will focus on the benefits of making energy efficiency home upgrades. 

Who: Anchorage resident Betty Hall will talk about the energy efficiency upgrades she has made to her homes and the avoided fuel costs she has seen as a result. Emmett Leffel, AHFC certified energy rater and owner of Alaska Thermal Imaging, will talk about how to get an energy rating and cover some of the measures one can take to reduce home energy consumption.

When: Wednesday, September 12th from 6:00 to 8:00pm (All lectures will be held on the second Wednesday of the month)
