Historic Preservation Plan for Anchorage’s Four Original Neighborhoods Public Hearing Draft Released 9/7/12

What: The public hearing draft of the Historic Preservation Plan for Anchorage’s Four Original Neighborhoods, Government Hill, Downtown, South Addition, and Fairview is available for public review and comment. Please submit comments by 9/20 if you would like the Planning and Zoning Commission to consider your input at their October 8 public hearing.

Where and When: The Public Hearing draft will be presented at the following meetings through September and October.
September: 9/7 – Assembly Work Session-1:00 p.m. at the MOA City Hal c/o 6th and G, Room 155 9/7 – Open Pubic Hearing Comment Period/Public Hearing Draft HPP posted on Muni.org and AnchorageHPP.com 9/13 – Fairview Community Council – 6:30 p.m. at the Fairview Community Center, E. 1oth Avenue 9/17 – Planning & Zoning Commission-5:30 p.m. Work Session at the Loussac Library Assembly Chambers, 36th Avenue 9/20 – Historic Preservation Commission-5:30 p.m. at the MOA City Hall c/o 6th and G, Room 155 9/20 – Government Hill Community Council-7p.m. at the Government Hill Elementary School at 325 Bluff Drive, Government Hill 9/20 – South Addition Community Council-6:15 p.m. at the Pioneer’s Home, west 11th Avenue

October: 10/3 – Downtown Community Council-5:30 p.m. at the Anchorage Museum – Downtown
10/8 – Planning & Zoning Commission – 6 p.m. Public Hearing, at the Loussac Library Assembly Chambers, 36th Avenue
December (tentative hearing date for Anchorage Assembly): 12/18 – Assembly Public Hearing – 6 p.m. at the Loussac Library Assembly Chambers, 36th Avenue
