Denali Alaskan Supports the First Tee Program

ANCHORAGE, Alaska –Denali Alaskan Federal Credit Union is proud to announce its support of The First Tee Program at Begich and Wendler Middle Schools.  The First Tee Program introduces middle school students to the game of golf along with character education. It will be taught in regular physical education classes (grades 6-8) using The First Tee National School Program curriculum. Nationwide, there are more than 2.35 million students at 4,700 schools in 650 school districts participating in The First Tee National School Program. In Anchorage, 14 Schools have implemented the program.

Funding for The First Tee program at both Begich and Wendler Middle School was provided by Denali Alaskan Federal Credit Union. The funds to support this program were raised at the 2012 Denali Rally Golf Tournament at Moose Run sponsored by Denali Alaskan.

In addition to supporting The First Tee program, Denali Alaskan actively participates in School Business Partnerships with Bartlett High School, Baxter Elementary, Rogers Park Elementary and Wendler Middle School.
