Credit Union 1 Hires New Risk And Compliance Manager

Anchorage, AK – September 26, 2012 – Credit Union 1 (CU1) welcomes Tammy Breihahn as the new Risk and Compliance Manager in the Internal Audit Department. This is a new position to the credit union and Breihahn will be responsible for facilitating the development, implementation and monitoring of Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance Programs credit union wide. She will also assist and consult management in fulfilling their risk management and compliance responsibilities.
In addition to 19 years of financial institution experience in positions ranging from customer service through security management, Breihahn is also a strong believer in the need for financial literacy training. She has developed and taught classes at the Salvation Army’s McKinnell House, in local schools, and through events hosted by Cook Inlet Housing. She has also coordinated participation with Junior Achievement’s annual Bowl-A-Thon fundraising event and currently serves as the treasurer for the Alaska chapter of Jump$tart Financial Literacy Coalition.
