Atlas Copco Grows Distributor Network with the Addition of Construction Machinery Industrial, LLC

New Partnership Will Accelerate Development of Alaska’s Air Compressor Market

Atlas Copco Compressors has added Construction Machinery Industrial, LLC (CMI) to its extensive distribution network to serve as Atlas Copco’s premier distributor throughout Alaska. CMI has provided a wide range of industrial and construction products to customers in Alaska since 1985 and now adds complete air compressor sales, service, and parts to customers across the remote state’s farthest reaches.

“Ensuring we maintain close relationships with customers and continue to provide the best possible levels of support was the key factor behind this new partnership,” said John Wozniak, western region vice president with Atlas Copco Compressors. “This partnership dramatically increases our presence in a critical and demanding geographic region in the United States.”

CMI is well aligned to provide sales and support to the challenges and demands Alaska’s location and environment require. With more than 100 employees and four strategic locations, CMI is uniquely positioned to quickly and effectively provide products and service. The new technical knowledge base that results from these coordinated efforts, coupled with a reputation for outstanding customer service, ensures Atlas Copco can provide the best possible levels of support for customers throughout the state.

Responsible development and use of Alaska’s natural resources – including oil, gold, silver, coal, zinc and various sustainable and renewable fisheries – represents a significant portion of the state’s gross domestic product and amounts to several billion dollars each year.

“CMI is proud to represent Atlas Copco’s complete line of air compressors, which will be a welcome addition to Alaska’s diverse manufacturing base,” said Robert Gerondale, chief operating officer of CMI. “We look forward to providing our customers, both new and existing, with these exciting products, as well as the tremendous market opportunities this new partnership presents.”
