Eagle River trail closed from trailhead to South Fork of Eagle River bridge crossing
(Anchorage, AK) – The Alaska Division of Parks & Outdoor recreation has issued a temporary closure of public access on the South Fork Eagle River trail from the trailhead parking lot to the South Fork of the Eagle River Bridge crossing under Director’s Order Number 255.
The closure is due to construction traffic on the old and new trail alignment for approximately the first 2 miles of the trail. The closure begins on Monday, October 3, 2011 and is effective Monday through Saturday until October 23. The trail will be open to the public on Sundays during this temporary closure period.
