Thompson & Co. Expands, Adds New Staff
Anchorage-based Thompson & Co. Public Relations doubled its staff and added several new clients in the past year, including the Anchorage and Valley Radiation Therapy Centers and the successful “no on one” ballot initiative campaign in the recent statewide primary.
Ally Berry and Suki Miller are the two latest additions to the agency staff Both will work as account coordinators. The two new hires bring the agency staff to 10 people.
A former agency intern, Berry will be based out of Thompson & Co.’s New York City office. She will be responsible for creating travel itineraries for media, coordinating press trips and developing story ideas to promote Alaska tourism. She will also assist in distributing press releases, planning media events and editorial briefings with Manhattan-based editors on behalf of agency clients. Berry graduated from the University of Nevada with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and minor in marketing, and earned a certificate of completion from the University of Denver Publishing Institute
Miller joins the agency as a former pension administrator at Alaska Pension Services, and will work out of the Anchorage office. She will assist with social media campaigns, distribute press releases, and work on various research and fact checking tasks to meet client needs. Miller graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage with bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and journalism and public communications with an emphasis in public relations.
