Miller Picks Up Key Endorsements of Senators McConnell, McCain and Cornyn

Anchorage, Alaska. September 09, 2010 -- Republican US Senate Nominee Joe Miller picked up the endorsements of three more United States Senators today. Senator Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, 2008 Presidential Candidate John McCain, and NRSC Chairman John Cornyn. “I am very grateful for their support,” Miller said. “I think this helps to send a message that Republicans are unified and remain single-minded about the task ahead: to confront the challenges our country is facing, and offer voters a viable alternative to the failed policies of the Democrat Majority.” Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell stated, "When Joe Miller earned the votes of Republican primary voters in Alaska, he earned my full support for his campaign to represent Alaskans in the U.S. Senate.” He went on to say, “Washington sorely needs to stop the massive government expansion that is drowning our children and grandchildren in debt,” and that “when Joe wins this November, I know I can count on him to help lead this fight.”

Senator McCain said, “I am proud to support Joe Miller, and look forward to working with him in the US Senate. I admire Joe's service to our nation from West Point to the US Army, and his commitment to fiscal conservative principles that Washington so desperately needs today." Senator Cornyn reiterated that “the NRSC is committed to doing everything that we can in order to ensure Joe Miller's victory this November.” He futher stated, “I have no doubt that he will be elected as the next US Senator from Alaska.” With the general election less than two months away, it is time for Alaska Republicans to put aside their differences and come together to engage in the task at hand. “I know there are many in our party who supported Senator Murkowski, and I want to acknowledge her service to our state,” Miller said. “I hope that the Senator will join her colleagues in endorsing me, and ensure that America's loyal opposition to the President's agenda will have a voice in the United States Senate from Alaska.”
