BBB Release: Don't Let Your Trash Become An ID Thief's Treasure


Shred Documents and Recycle Cell Phones at BBB's Secure Your ID Day: Oct. 23

Anchorage, Alaska – Sept. 28, 2010 – Better Business Bureau offers a free shredding and cell phone recycling event to help prevent identity theft during National Protect Your Identity Week.

Shredder: Shred Alaska

Shred Paper: Drive up and drop off three bags or boxes of unwanted documents per person. 100 percent of materials will be shredded on-the-spot and recycled by Shred Alaska. No cardboard or three-ring binders please.

Cell Phones: Recycle used cell phones for FREE, courtesy of The Wireless Alliance. All data will be securely wiped from collected phones; or consumers can remove data before donating: check out the Free Data Eraser or Data Erase Instructional Videos.
