ALASKA SUES SALAZAR
- Thursday (yesterday), Alaska sued the federal government, asking the U.S. District Court in Alaska to overturn a moratorium on offshore drilling in the Alaska OCS, arguing that Interior Secretary Ken Salazar's Department acted "arbitrarily and capriciously".
- Wednesday we advised the National Commission on the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and Offshore Drilling that, "Secretary Salazar has created an imperial throne.... The Secretary's blunt use of power under the authority of his own word without notice or due process has significantly harmed Lessees, the State of Alaska and the people of the state."
