AKWI - Newest 90ft Monopole Wind Turbine


Alaskan Wind Industries is now working around the State of Alaska to provide reliable solutions to Alaska's unique energy needs.  They have scheduled various  seminars that reaches our various Kenai Peninsula communities.  So Alaska SBDC has asked them to bring all their workshops to our Conference Room in the Red Diamond Center, for a ONE location, ONE afternoon Energy Information Seminar!

On October 6 - from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m these are the specific renewable energy topics that will be presented - Register by Sept. 30!

Topics Include:
Wind Turbine - Direct Heating Options
  • Individuals & businesses interested in using wind turbines for direct heating.  This course will show benefits & advantages of renewable energies in Alaska connected to heating.
Small Wind - Diesel
  • This seminar will go over small wind turbines connected to small/medium generators and the benefit to reducing fuel consumption.
Proper Wind Turbine Siting
  • This seminar will cover the importance of wind turbine placement in all of the Kenai Peninsula.  Lessons learned from prior installations and how the use your landscape can provide benefits to energy production from these units!
Business Grants & Incentives
  • This seminar is for businesses interested in installing wind turbines and receiving the largest benefit from these units. This course will go over return on investment & new incentives for 2010.
