USKH Selects New Surface Transportation Division ManagerUSKH Inc. (USKH) is pleased to announce that Steven Kari, P.E., has been selected as the new Surface Transportation Division Manager. Kari, an associate of the firm, has been with USKH for 14 years and is a member of the USKH Board of Directors.
"Steve has proven his leadership skills time and time again as he completes successful projects and mentors younger staff," says Zane Shanklin, P.E., USKH's Civil Engineering Department Head. "I expect we are going to see renewed energy and positive changes taking place very quickly under his guidance."
Kari is working on designs for the Mountain Air Drive Extension and the 100th Avenue Extension: C Street to King Street projects in Anchorage, as well as an access road for the communities of King Cove and Cold Bay. He recently wrapped up work on the 9th Avenue Reconstruction project.
Kari possesses a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and is pursuing a Master of Science in Engineering Science Management from the University of Alaska, Anchorage (UAA). He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of Puget Sound. He is currently a registered professional engineer in Alaska and Washington.
Kari is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineering, the Institute of Transportation Engineers, and the American Public Works Association.
