GeoNorth Announces New Sr. Programmer

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - GeoNorth, LLC, a custom Information Technology solutions provider headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska, is pleased to announce that Andy Clary has accepted the position of Sr. Programmer/Analyst with the firm. Along with a BA in Management Information Systems from Cedarville University in Ohio, Andy comes to GeoNorth with an extensive background, and a wealth of high-level programming and analytical experience.

Andy has served most of his career from 1999 to February of 2009 as the IT Manager with TelePlan, an After Sales Service provider to the IT and Telecommunications industry headquartered in Zoetermeer, Netherlands. Andy worked remotely while supporting their Chanhassen, Minnesota office, and also reported to Corporate IT in the Havant, United Kingdom center for most of the last two years. Spearheading this role, Andy successfully defined global software development standards, provided leadership in global IT summits designed to train developers on new architecture and standards in the United States, Europe, and Asia, and designed mission critical web applications. As he expanded his management role, he directed all IT efforts, including total vision, infrastructure, and application development. He also served as the Lead on several successful software development initiatives.

Within this time period, specifically from mid-2004 through 2007, Andy served as the President of the Alaska Adobe Users Group, leading presentations and group sessions in support of the local chapter, and coordinating efforts with Adobe Corporate. From mid-2008 through mid-2009, just prior to accepting a position with GeoNorth, Andy served as both the Administrator for The Alaska Standard, as well as Owner/Consultant with ThinkIT Alaska.

While with The Alaska Standard, Andy served up his technological expertise and direction for an online news publication. He also managed and maintained a Drupal Content Management System while providing business solutions and marketing strategies. As the Owner of ThinkIT Alaska, Andy was able to further hone his skills utilizing Drupal as he created Content Management solutions for his clients. He also began his own online news publication which, at last count, was receiving 100,000 pageviews per month. In addition, Andy acted as an IT consultant, providing solutions for a startup refurbishment company located in the Philippines.
