Downtown Fairbanks Demolition, Debris Haul Begins
Large Trucks to Haul Debris from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities started demolishing nine buildings in downtown Fairbanks Sept. 22. Demolition will continue through November 11.
Traffic patterns will not be impacted, but large haul trucks will be removing debris, contaminated soil and hazardous materials.
The trucks will run from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and will travel on Terminal Street, North Turner Street, North Cushman Street, Driveway Street and Phillips Field Road.
