WHPacific Adds Key Team Members to Corporate Management Team
(October 28, 2013) – WHPacific, Inc. is pleased to announce the key additions and promotions to its corporate management team.
Tom Jones, RLA, ASLA, has been appointed to the role of vice president of development and facilities. In his new role, Jones will be responsible for WHPacific’s enterprise development and facilities business. Jones has over 30 years of industry experience, including all aspects of development projects. He is a proven leader, particularly skilled in facilitating multi-disciplinary project teams, working collaboratively to provide excellent results for a wide variety of project types. His most notable projects include Hoyt Street Yards, Peal District in downtown Portland; Nike World Campus, North Expansion, Washington County, OR; and Cascade Station, Portland, OR. Jones has been with WHPacific for over 20 years, most recently as the operations manager for the Portland office.
Morgan Kramm II, PE, RA, PMP, has been appointed as vice president of construction/project management. In this role, Kramm will be responsible for the construction management services and project management processes and project delivery. Kramm has over 32 years of experience as principal-in-charge and project manager for suppliers and owners. He began implementing the Lead Project Delivery System (LPDS) in the early 1990s and has concentrated his efforts to use LPDS tools almost exclusively. Kramm’s leadership in project management has contributed to the overall success of projects including the PJ/CRO RRTCC & Logistics Building for the Kirtland Air Force Base, Eight Northern Indian Pueblos Council Alternative Sentencing Facility, and Wingate Elementary School Replacement, Grand Junction, Colorado. Kramm has managed individual projects utilizing design-bid-build; design/build; and Construction Manager at Risk delivery methods.
Jason Kack, PLS, has been appointed as vice president of survey and will lead surveying and scanning services for WHPacific. Kack brings over 31 years of experience in all aspects of surveying operations, safety, technology, leadership and client relationship development. During his career, Kack led the growth of surveying services at each employer, spearheading expansion for market share and geographic reach. Notable project experience includes capturing six master service agreements for electric transmission and distribution sector projects, Denver Broncos Stadium laser scanning of structural steel installation, Hoover Dam bridge project total station technology and 3D laser scanning, and significant on-call contract with utility provider.
L. Michael Burns, PE, has been appointed as vice president of energy and will focus on WHPacific’s newly expanding energy services including oil and gas, mining, power/transmission and distribution, pipeline, and renewable. Burns has more than 40 years’ experience in energy engineering and consulting covering compressor stations, processing plants, and pipeline facilities. His executive experience encompasses the full range of oil, gas, and office operations at previous firms where he was responsible as business manager, director of operations, engineering, and construction. Burns’ notable project experience includes the organization and project management for 30-inch natural gas transmission line from Wyoming to Southern California.
