Senate Committees to have Overview on State Employee Health Insurance
Committee will meet in Anchorage on October 17, 2013
ANCHORAGE – At 9:00 am on Thursday October 17, 2013 the Senate State Affairs and Labor & Commerce Committees will have an overview on State employee health insurance plan negotiations and the universal space standards for State office buildings. The meeting will take place in Room 1270 of the Atwood Building, 550 West 7th Avenue in Anchorage.
The overview will be an informational hearing given by the Department of Administration (DOA) starting at 9:00 am and will conclude at 12:00 pm with a tour of the Atwood building where it has been renovated to meet the new space standards. The presenters will be DOA Deputy Commissioners Mike Barnhill for health insurance negotiations and Curtis Thayer for the space standards.
The members of the State Affairs Committee are Senators Fred Dyson, Chair, Cathy Giessel Vice-Chair, Bert Stedman, John Coghill, and Bill Wielechowski. The members of the Labor & Commerce Committee are Senators Mike Dunleavy, Chair, Peter Micciche, Vice-Chair, Donald Olson, Bert Stedman, and Johnny Ellis.
