Chugach outage update 4:20 p.m. Oct. 28

As of 4:20 p.m. approximately 250 metered-locations remained without power.  The largest group are about 200 customers served by the Hope Substation.   Crews have cleared a number of trees on the line, but have not yet successfully restored service to the Sunrise area (about midway between the substation and the community of Hope).  In the Anchorage Bowl, a crew has been working for the past few hours to restore service to about three dozen metered-locations in the Rabbit Creek area – the largest storm-related outage remaining in Anchorage.  A handful of individual homes also are out of power at scattered locations.

An accident-related outage near International Airport Road and the Old Seward Highway ended at 4:15 p.m.  The outage from a vehicle hitting a guy wire cut service to more than 30 commercial properties on the south side of International Airport Road between the Old Seward Highway and C Street at 11:45 a.m.

All locations are expected to be restored to service today.
