Chugach outage update 1:15 p.m. Oct. 28

As of 1:15 p.m., an estimated 200-250 metered-locations remain without power as a result of the early morning windstorm.  Most Hope-area customers are still out, though a crew has been working in the area since mid-morning and has restored service to some locations.  Other outages are scattered across the southern Hillside, and in Cooper Landing.  Crews remain at work in the field.

Not all outages are storm-related.  At 11:45 a.m. a car-pole accident near International Airport Road and the Old Seward Highway cut power to a few dozen commercial locations.  The metered-locations affected by this outage are on the south side of International between the Old Seward and C Street.   A Chugach crew is responding to this outage.
