Carr Gottstein Solicits Bids for Prominent Palmer Shopping Center
Pioneer Square, the former home of Carrs grocery in Palmer is being offered for sale by its owner, Carr Gottstein Properties. The 92,000 square foot building, which is located on 6.59 acres at the corner of the Glenn and Palmer/Wasilla Highways, has experienced high vacancy since Carrs/Safeway built and moved to their own store in 2011. “We have been approached by several organizations interested in buying the property, so we decided to solicit offers for a limited period, to see if it makes more sense to sell or to redevelop the site” says Bob Mintz, General Manager of the company.
The property will be marketed exclusively by Bob Martin, of Ravenwood Real Estate and Lee Henry, of RE/MAX Dynamic Properties. According to Martin, “The center is one of the most visible locations in Palmer making it a premium site for retail, or a combined use development including offices, restaurants and perhaps even hospitality. Properties like this don’t come on the market very often, and at the rate the Mat-Su Valley is growing I’m sure there will be significant interest.” To be considered, offers must be submitted by November 25, 2013.
For information on the property, including a complete bidding package, interested parties should contact Bob Martin at (907)694-9555 or visit www.RavenwoodRealEstate.com
