Friends Book Sale this Weekend

Thousands of books, CDs & DVDs available for purchase this weekend at the Loussac Library. Friends members are invited to Buns and Books on Saturday for breakfast and first pick of the selection before the doors open to the public (you can join at the door). The money raised supports all APL locations.
  • Saturday, Nov. 2, 8-10 am: Buns & Books for Friends members.
  • Saturday, Nov. 2, 10 am-4 pm: Book Sale
  • Sunday, Nov. 3. noon-4 pm: Book Sale
A Unique Way to Support the Friends of the Library AND a Local Entrepreneur

The Friends of the Library are a featured organization on the new crowd-funding platform for nonprofits, Tallyfunder. Tallyfunder is a local start-up out of Girdwood, AK that seeks to bring the power of crowd-funding to local nonprofits.

Kids at
Loussac Early Literacy Center a Success

The Library opened the new early literacy center last week to a crowd that included Sen. Murkowski, First Lady Parnell, elected officials, community supporters and about 40 toddlers who were very excited to try out the new space! It looks like the toddlers gave it a big thumbs up!
