Bean’s Café Receives $111,288 in Pick.Click.Give. donations in 2013

Anchorage - Bean’s Café and The Children’s Lunchbox a program of Bean’s Cafe, announce that they have received over 2,000 contributions—a total of $111,288—in Pick.Click.Give. donations this year according to data released on Friday by the Alaska Permanent Fund. From 104 donations in 2009 to over 2,020 donations this year, Bean’s Café and The Children’s Lunchbox has seen a tremendous growth in support through the Pick.Click. Give. program.

Lisa Sauder, executive director of Bean’s Cafe says, “We are tremendously thankful for the outpouring of support for our mission to feed those in need, we want to thank each donor  who contributed to Bean’s Café and The Children’s Lunchbox through the Pick.Click.Give. program.”

Bean’s Café a local nonprofit founded in 1979 provides services in four major areas: food, shelter, social services and employment services. They serve over 700 meals per day, each and every day of the year, both breakfast and lunch. They also provide day shelter for the community each and every day and social services including mail service, medical and dental appointments, housing assistance and referrals

The Children’s Lunchbox, a program of Bean’s Café, has been serving meals to hungry children in Anchorage since 1998.  The program is the largest non-profit child nutrition program in Alaska and is currently serving over 4,700 meals each week to hungry children in Anchorage.
