AT&T has switched on its mobile Internet network in Glennallen

GLENNALLEN, Alaska - AT&T has switched on its mobile Internet network in Glennallen, extending access for advanced mobile services, devices and applications to customers in the area.  The local wireless network upgrade is now extending access in Glennallen to advanced products, service and applications.

“In the first half of 2013, AT&T invested nearly $45 million in its wireless and wired network in Alaska, so the network enhancement in Glennallen is just the latest example of AT&T’s significant infrastructure investment,” said Bob Bass, Alaska President, AT&T. "The 2013 year-to-date network investment builds on the more than 650 million that AT&T has invested in its Alaska wireless and wireline networks during the past three years. These investments help to ensure that Alaska residents continue to receive the best possible Internet experience over the AT&T network, whether at home, at work or on the go.”
