REAP to Host Clean Energy Forum

What: In honor of October's Energy Awareness Month, Renewable Energy Alaska Project (REAP) will be hosting a Clean Energy Forum on saving energy and money in commercial buildings. This free event is a part of REAP’s ongoing Clean Energy Lecture Series and will feature energy experts and Alaska business owners to discuss ways commercial building owners and managers can conserve energy through efficiency retrofits.

Who: Amber McDonough of Siemens Industry, Inc. will talk about the benefits of getting a commercial energy audit and implementing the efficiency measures it identifies.

John Weddleton, owner of BOSCO’S Comics in Anchorage, will discuss the efficiency retrofits he made to his own commercial warehouse as well as the challenges he has faced to conserve energy in his rented space.

When: Wednesday, October 10th from 6:00 to 8:00pm (All lectures will be held on the second Wednesday of the month)

Where: Anchorage Museum Auditorium, 625 C Street (Please use 7th Avenue entrance)
