Meetings Planned for Southwest Alaska Transportation Plan
The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is updating the Southwest Alaska Transportation Plan (SWATP) to address transportation needs and enhance the movement of people, goods, and services within Southwest Alaska through public investments in transportation infrastructure. The SWATP will focus on regional transportation needs, such as movements between communities, and travel in and out of the Southwestern Region and will encompass all available modes of transportation. This transportation study will guide strategic public investment in transportation infrastructure.
The public is invited to share their thoughts and concerns about transportation needs in Southwest Alaska and attend one of the first three meetings in:
Naknek - Borough Assembly Chambers; October 20, 2011; 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
