Johansen Earns Professional Accreditation

John Johansen, Manager of Engineering, Environmental and Planning for Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, recently completed the Accredited Airport Executive Program through the American Association of Airport Executives (AAE). To qualify for this distinction, John had to (1) pass a 180-item multiple-choice examination, (2) obtain an advanced degree, and (3) demonstrate, in the final interview by a panel of AAE's, his knowledge of airport management, business administration, and general transportation economics.  John's achievement attests to his ability to meet these stringent requirements and his experience in managing a public airport.

By fulfilling all the requirements leading to the title of Accredited Airport Executive, John joins a select group of individuals who have earned this designation within the Accreditation Program.  At present, fewer than 10 percent of AAAE's members throughout the country have earned this distinction.

"We are delighted to have another member of the airport team hold this accreditation," said John Parrott Ted Stevens International Airport's Airport Manager, also an accredited member of AAAE. "It represents our commitment to be leaders in the field of aviation management in the State of Alaska, in the United States, and in the world."
