Door Prize Donations

It isn't too late to donate a door prize.  All should be delivered to our office no later than this Thursday, Oct. 13th.  Our address is 606 E Street, Ste. 200, Anchorage, AK 99501.  This is a great way to receive name recognition across the state.

Volunteer Opportunities

There are several opportunities for you to volunteer at the conference: bag stuffing, setting-up at the Dena'ina Center, information/direction guides, registration, moving First Alaskans Magazine boxes (must be able to carry heavy boxes), and wheel chair service.

First Alaskans Magazine

Our first edition - the AFN Edition - will be available at registration during the Elders & Youth Conference and at the Fai booth on the 2nd floor during the AFN Convention.  Stop by either locations, say hello, and grab your complimentary copy before they go!  As mentioned above, we will be needing additional volunteers to move these boxes, they are heavy.  We will need help on Sunday, Oct. 16th,  and on Thursday, Oct. 19th in the morning.

Seattle Fundraiser & Reception

Please join us at a fundraiser to benefit First Alaskans Institute's efforts in developing the capacities of Alaska Native people and their communities to meet the social, economic, and educational challenges of the future on October 25, 2011.  It will be held at the Chinese Room at the Smith Tower, in Seattle, WA. United States Senator Mark Begich is our special guest.  Our host committee is made up of several community leaders in the area.  Please see the invitation below or our website for further details.

We look forward to seeing you in the coming weeks!
