Alaska USDA Rural Development announces new Business Programs director
USDA Rural Development is proud to announce the selection of Renee Johnson as new Business Programs director for Alaska.
Johnson has over 11 years experience with USDA and was previously a loan specialist in the Palmer state office. Additionally, Johnson serves as the Alaska Broadband Coordinator and Cooperative Development Specialist. Prior to joining Rural Development, Johnson spent 15 years in commercial lending.
In her new position, Johnson will be responsible for the administration of Rural Development’s business loan guarantees, direct loan, and grant programs designed to create and retain jobs, support business and cooperative development, facilitate renewable energy development, and promote sustainable economic development in Alaska.
