DOT&PF to Host Northern Region Transportation Forum(FAIRBANKS, Alaska) - Have you ever wondered about the future of Alaska's roads? Do you know where transportation funding comes from? How would you get a transportation project started?
You can get answers to these questions and more at the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities Fourth Annual Regional Transportation Forum Friday, Oct. 22 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge.
The transportation forum is a regional event held in a different region of the state yearly. Statewide, regional and community leaders will engage in discussions of important transportation issues in the state.
Featured this year will be a luncheon presentation on the Western Alaska Access Planning Study. There is no charge to attend, but attendees are asked to register in advance at: http://dot.alaska.gov/nreg/forum/. A complimentary shuttle will depart the Carlson Center to the Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge every 15 minutes.
