Commonwealth North is pleased to welcome members and guests to the 2010 Gubernatorial Debate Series. Commonwealth North continues to promote interest in government, economic, social, and cultural issues impacting Alaska and its future in what will be a dynamic statewide dialogue. Hear the Democrat and Republican nominees respond to major public policy issues and participate in a one hour question and answer session. The policy concerns the candidates will need to address are critical to the long range stability of Alaska. This program will deliver an engaging and detailed candidate forum for members and guests to analyze the candidate's leadership qualifications on pivotal public policy concerns for Alaska's future Governor.

Commonwealth North Energy Action Coalition Meeting
Speaker: Governor Bill Sheffield, Port Director, Port of Anchorage
Friday, October 22 12-1, ANGDA Commonwealth North Energy Action Coalition will be this Friday, October 22 from 12-1 in the ANGDA Conference Room located at 411 West 4th Avenue in the Yellow Sunshine Mall on the lower level across from the Saturday Market parking lot. Governor Bill Sheffield, Director of the Port of Anchorage, will be joining us to discuss the port instrumental role in Alaska's energy security. Under Governor Sheffield's leadership, the port has initiated an aggressive development plan that includes the renovation and upgrading of existing facilities, construction of a multipurpose dock, improvement of rail and road access to the port, as well as the deepening of the harbor along the dock.
If you are interested in the public policy issues facing Alaska, and supporting the work Commonwealth North does to inform, involve and influence all Alaskans on public policy issues, you should to be a member of Commonwealth North.
