Alaska Delegation Announces Grants to Alaska Programs
Washington, D.C. - The Alaska Congressional Delegation is pleased to announce the following recent grants awarded to communities in the State of Alaska:
U.S. Department of Agriculture:
- The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has awarded $32,567 to the Tanana Chiefs Conference. These grant funds are part of USDA’s regional initiative which will focus on strategic planning activities to improve economic conditions in rural areas, particularly in underserved communities.
U.S. Department of Commerce:
- $4,457,388 State Broadband Data and Development (SBDD) grant has been awarded to Connect Alaska, the designated entity on behalf of the State of Alaska. Grant funds will be used to facilitate the integration of broadband and information technology into state and local economies.
