Paw Prince to Conduct Poster Dog Contest

Anchorage's only pet boutique will raise funds for Friends of Pets and Alaska SPCA

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Paw Prince will host "BARK! The Musical" Poster Dog Contest on Saturday, Oct. 17 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The winning dog will be featured on the poster for the musical performing in December at Cyrano's Off-Center Playhouse in downtown Anchorage.  This special event will benefit Friends of Pets and Alaska SPCA.   

Nationally renowned photographers, Randi and Fred Hirschmann will hold a brief photo session with all dogs that show up to the event. In addition to being on the poster, the winner will receive a Paw Prince gift certificate, giant souvenir poster and four tickets to the musical.

All pet owners will have the option to purchase a professional print of their dog's photo. A portion of the proceeds of print sales will benefit the Alaska SPCA and Friends of Pets.  Cyrano's will hold a special performance of the show on Wednesday, Dec.  9 to benefit the two charities.

Paw Prince, located at 4240 Old Seward Highway is a locally-owned boutique catering to pets and people that love them.  The boutique recently won the 2009-2010 Pet Product News International Retailer of Year-Outstanding Boutique Award.
