Mayor's Arts Grants & Sister Cities Commission Event
The Municipality of Anchorage invites local community arts organizations to apply for approximately $137,500 in grant funding to promote public-private cooperation in the arts.
Applications must be received in the Mayor’s Office by Thursday, December 5, 2013. The Municipality’s Arts Advisory Commission reviews grant applications in January and makes funding recommendations to the Mayor.
According to Arts Advisory Commission chair, Lee Holmes, "Applicants are encouraged to attend a question and answer session after the Commission’s regular meeting on November 4. The regular meeting begins at 5:30p.m. It’s anticipated that the Q and A will begin around 6:30p.m. The meeting is in the Assembly Conference Room (#155) in City Hall."
