Credit Union 1 Promotes New Senior Manager

Anchorage, AK – November 8, 2013 – Credit Union 1 is pleased to announce the promotion of Community Engagement and Education Manager, Chrissy Bell, to Senior Communications Manager. Bell started her career at Credit Union 1 in 2010 as the Community Engagement Director; with more than 10 years’ experience working in the non-profit community, specifically in fundraising and marketing, she quickly streamlined the credit union’s community outreach efforts and led the charge for one of our biggest years in fundraising and volunteerism in credit union history, increasing community service efforts by more than 50%.

President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Alaska Chapter. In addition, Chrissy is instrumental in managing the credit union’s Discover Financial Fitness program, which educates Alaskans on navigating the complex world of finances. These free money management resources are vital ingredients in the long‐term health of any community, and these values are clearly exemplified by Chrissy Bell.”
Bell is a graduate of UAA with a degree in English and holds a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation. In her new role, she will oversee the credit union’s marketing, internal and community education efforts, community engagement and volunteer activities.
