R&M Named a Bronze Level Bicycle Friendly Business
The League of American Bicyclists recognized R&M CONSULTANTS, INC. (R&M) with a Bronze level Bicycle Friendly Business award.
R&M decided to become a bike friendly business because of our commitment to our community and employees. Participating in this program helps promote community involvement with participation in local Bike-to-Work days, a fun work environment, and employee wellness. R&M encourages bicycling as an easy option for transportation and provides amenities such as convenient bike parking, on-site showers for employee use, and bicycle education materials and classes. Incentives such as a punch card program with prizes for those who regularly commute by bike are also available.
“I think it’s great that R&M is now recognized as a bicycle friendly business,” said Steven Ambruzs, an IT Systems Administrator at R&M that regularly commutes to work by bicycle. “By riding to work I save money on gas, start and end my day with a workout, and take in all the wonderful scenery that Anchorage has to offer. Hopefully R&M’s continued support for cycling encourages more of our staff to get out and ride”.
Moving forward, R&M will have access to a variety of free tools and technical assistance from the League to become even more bicycle-friendly.
The League of American Bicyclists promotes bicycling for fun, fitness and transportation, and works through advocacy and education for a bicycle-friendly America.
