Anchorage's First Cohousing Neighborhood

Potluck Sunday Dinner: Join Us!
Sunday, Dec. 2, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

Anchorage Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 3201 Turnagain St.

Join us for delicious food, great company, and good conversation.  Learn more, informally, about who we are, and what it's like to live in cohousing.
We will be having potluck dinners on the first Sunday of each month until summer.

Cohousing will only happen with more people!
We have six pioneering households who have been financing all of the intial development work required to make Ravens' Roost Cohousing happen.  We need more people to move forward.  If you think it's a great idea but you've been sitting back, please reflect on what it would take for you to become a member -- and let us know!  Cohousing doesn't happen without committed people who make it happen!

A Cohousing Story

It was August at Nevada City Cohousing in California....
My vacuum cleaner stopped working a few months ago, and my neighbor knows this because I've had to borrow theirs. On my way home from work the other day, a neighbor suggested that her husband could take my vacuum cleaner into the Berkeley fix-it shop when he goes down to visit his Mom. And then he did. Now that's a good neighbor! And then yesterday, I needed chips to go with the common house dinner we were making (farm fresh tomatoes and peppers in a tostada salad) and lawn chairs for a concert. Two emails out to my community and both were found and delivered within hours. I can't help but  wonder how the rest of you living outside of cohousing manage all these day-to-day needs.
In community,
Katie McCamant
