Join us for delicious food, great company, and good conversation. Learn more, informally, about who we are, and what it's like to live in cohousing. A Cohousing StoryIt was August at Nevada City Cohousing in California....My vacuum cleaner stopped working a few months ago, and my neighbor knows this because I've had to borrow theirs. On my way home from work the other day, a neighbor suggested that her husband could take my vacuum cleaner into the Berkeley fix-it shop when he goes down to visit his Mom. And then he did. Now that's a good neighbor! And then yesterday, I needed chips to go with the common house dinner we were making (farm fresh tomatoes and peppers in a tostada salad) and lawn chairs for a concert. Two emails out to my community and both were found and delivered within hours. I can't help but wonder how the rest of you living outside of cohousing manage all these day-to-day needs. In community, Katie McCamant |
