FEDC Friday Newsletter

Good afternoon!

In this week's Friday newsletter, we would like to share a couple of items with you, first you'll see a "Save the Date" for a community luncheon and presentation by Alan Krause, CEO of MWH.  Then you'll find the details and link to our weekly show, Fairbanks Focus: Alaska View.

Take some time to review (rsvp for the luncheon), enjoy the most recent program of Fairbanks Focus and then get ready for another chilly and fun-filled Fairbanks weekend!

At noon on Wednesday, December 5th, FEDC is hosting a community luncheon and presentation by Alan Krause, CEO of MWH, Inc. at the Wedgewood Resort in Fairbanks.

“The Benefits of Hydropower:  A Global Perspective”

In Alaska, hydropower is increasingly in the news as we look for energy to power our homes, businesses, and economy.  Alan Krause, President and CEO of MWH Global will bring a global perspective on how communities around the world benefit from hydropower as an affordable and reliable source of clean energy.  Through this global perspective, the audience can better understand the potential benefits of hydropower projects that Alaskan’s are considering today.  See attached for Mr. Krause’s biography.

MWH has particular expertise in hydro project development and has been retained by the Alaska Energy Authority to do the preliminary design and other work on the Susitna Watana project.  You can find much more information about the company below and on their website at    http://www.mwhglobal.com

More details will be forthcoming, however,  in the meantime, please consider that lunch will be available at $15 per person, you will be asked to indicate whether you will have lunch in your rsvp.
