Susan Harrington Named Managing Editor of Alaska Business Monthly
Susan Harrington, associate editor of Alaska Business Monthly, has been named its new managing editor, replacing long-time editor Debbie Cutler, who has accepted a position as the editor of Alaska Magazine.
Harrington has been with ABM for three years, and prior to that was an editor at Alaska Contractor magazine and The Tundra Drums. She also served as a news editor at the Northern Light while at the University of Alaska Anchorage where she studied journalism and anthropology.
"Susan will be carrying on the fine editorial tradition," said Jim Martin, president and general manager. "All of us here at ABM are extremely pleased that Susan has accepted the managing editor's position. She is a natural to fill Debbie's former role. Our readers can look forward to continued excellence in choice of writers, articles and coverage of important issues to Alaska's businesses."
Harrington, a long-time Alaskan, has a love for business and is well respected in the community. She will assume her new position Dec. 2, 2011.
"I'm very grateful for the opportunity and excited to expand Alaska Business Monthly's print and online presence," Harrington said.
